Welcome to Issue 9 of ZopeMag

letter

Dear ZopeMag Readers,

We are pleased to bring you Issue 9 -- we think this is going to be another great issue and hope you enjoy it!

The ZopeMag staff is always happy to get email from our readers on what articles you like and what topics you would like to learn more about. We are definitely listening. Several subscribers asked us to consider doing book reviews and so Issue 9 will be the first to feature a book review: of Andy McKay's new book The Definitive Guide to Plone . Several readers have also asked for articles on best practices and we think Milos Prudek's series of articles on localization which we begin in this issue will meet this need. We are exploring several other topics that we hope will answer your needs in this area.

We are also happy to report that our subscriber base continues to grow and with the growth in revenue we hope to be able to fulfill many more of your requests. Your subscriptions enable us to pay authors for writing about Zope, Plone, CPS, and the many other Zope-based products, and to pay for editing as well. You likely will have noticed that a lot of articles were released for free in Issue 8 – while we hope to be able to afford to give away many more articles in the future we assure you that being a subscriber will continue to come with lots of benefits and access to exclusive content. We could not publish a single article without your business.

If you are not yet a subscriber and are considering getting a subscription -- we hope you do! You will be supporting the only magazine devoted to Zope-based software and ensuring that we will be able to continue publishing interesting and important articles that can be found nowhere else. The most consistent response we get from new subscribers is: "I should have subscribed a long time ago." Our articles can save you hours of work and provide answers to many of your questions. Should you not find your questions answered in one of our articles we have a dedicated editing staff that takes requests for articles and topics :-)
